My Own Tea House

April 1, 2009

In February the Redlands Art Association ran their 40th Mini Multi Media Show (everything had to be 14 inches or less in size). Of the 400 pieces entered only 180 were juried in and put on display. My friend Candy submitted three incredible houses (check out her blog for the photos) and 2 were accepted into the show.

So imagine my surprise when she gave me this adorable little tea house as my birthday pressie on my return from the beach last week. Its made from her hand dyed fabrics and quilted before she sews it together. It is smaller than the other three houses and it has a roof AND it was full of my favourite Earl Grey Tea…what more could a birthday girl ask for?

How clever Candy and so thoughtful… I adore it and love it.
