The cuckoo in the nest

March 23, 2010

Can you spot the cuckoo in the nest? Geraint’s neatly planted and labeled rows of seeds and I “bunged” in 4 round zucchini seeds on the only empty row and its one of my zucchini’s that is the “cuckoo” or triffid – call it what you will that is hanging over the side of the tray. Yes we will replant it today! The other large set of leaves are the straight zucchini and he’s thrilled because all the beef tomato seeds have sprouted.

California Poppies From 2 to this glorious “bush” of California Poppies – they bring such a burst of colour into the front garden bed.

I can’t wait for the rest of the plants to bloom.
